Comparing and Ordering Numbers

Ordering numbers and Comparing numbers

Ordering numbers is when you order them from greatest to least or least to greatest. Here is an example 999; 1,010; 1,900. That is an example of least to greatest. This is a greatest to least example: 1,010; 1,009; 999.This is all about ordering numbers.

Comparing numbers is when you compare to see which is bigger. If the number on the left is bigger than the number on the right you put this symbol >. That is the greater than symbol. If the number on the left is less than the one on the right you put this symbol <. That is the less than symbol. If  both of them are the same you put this symbol =.This is all about comparing numbers.
